ABOUT ME
MY STORY
Manjusha is a Naarm/Melbourne-based multidisciplinary performer, producer and Intangible Cultural Heritage practitioner working at the intersection of contemporary performance, diasporic identity and living cultural traditions. Her practice bridges classical South Asian forms with bold, contemporary storytelling, creating work that is both sacred and politically charged.
Holding a Master of Cultural Heritage Management from Deakin University, Manjusha brings academic depth alongside extensive experience in producing, touring, and community-engaged practice. She works across performing arts, festivals and cultural institutions, centring South Asian diasporic queer narratives and amplifying underrepresented voices through performance and large-scale cultural events.
As a producer, she has led the development and touring strategy for Temple of Desire with Karma Dance Inc, supporting its sold-out seasons and ongoing national and international pitching. Her work is grounded in collaboration, strategic partnerships and cross-cultural exchange, with a focus on building sustainable pathways for independent artists within Australia and globally.
MY VALUES
I am deeply committed to fostering a sense of community, particularly by empowering and supporting diverse creatives and artists.
I believe in holding spaces where varied voices can be heard, respected, and celebrated, as this is essential for building a more inclusive and vibrant culture. My values are rooted in the desire to create a better world, one where everyone has the opportunity to express themselves and contribute meaningfully to the collective good.
